Aftercare Groups

Regular aftercare attendance is strongly encouraged for anybody who completes an addiction treatment program.  Research indicates that individuals are more likely to stay sober when becoming engaged in an aftercare program that provides a supportive network to those in early recovery.  In most cases one year of aftercare is included, free of charge, for anyone who completes an Inpatient Program at one of our EHN locations.

Relapse Prevention

Relapse is preventable, and we have customized programs in place to help you learn how to avoid relapse by recognizing some of the early warning signs and unhealthy behaviours that may result in relapse.  Relapse usually doesn’t happen overnight and is typically a three-part process:

  • Emotional relapse
  • Mental relapse
  • Physical relapse

The good news is that if we can identify the emotional and mental relapse signs and appropriate action is taken, the progression into the final stage of physical relapse can be prevented.

Should you experience a relapse call us immediately as we have support systems in place to help get you back on track as soon as possible.
